It was all set to be a great morning! I had my gym clothes laid out, shake waiting in the frig (chocolate and a sleeve of Starbucks VIA) and actually got to bed on time. This despite it being the dreaded monthly sales tax due day!
My alarm went off at 5.30! I was up, got the dogs feed, I was dressed and out the door on my way to the gym. I got about a mile from home and WHAM flat tire!! For those of you who know me, you know I've been having tire troubles. We can't seem to figure out the issue. Regardless, there I was pulled over on the soft shoulder in the dark. Now, while my tire should be my biggest concern, I was more bummed out that I was missing my early morning gym time. Like all of you, my day is crazy today. I have a busy day helping a client accessorize her new home in preparation for her large Thanksgiving celebration. I also need to run to an art gallery for work, the dry cleaners, grocery store and then prepare my contributions for tomorrow's celebratations. So I don't have time for a flat tire OR for the gym.
Thankfully my husband came to my rescue! He removed my dead tire and is taking it in to the service station. I also get to use his personal vehicle today. Thank goodness for company cars! His car is actually a truck so the boys will like that better anyway. Trucks must be in the male DNA!
So the point of my story... I grapped my kettlebells and just did a great kettlebell circuit here at home.
This is what I did....
QUICK HOLIDAY METABOLISM REVING and GOOD MOOD MAKING WORKOUT
WARM UP OF 4 SETS OF 30 JUMPING JACKS
THE FOLLOWING IS A CIRCUIT. COMPLETE A-D AND THEN REPEAT 3 TIMES
ONE ARMED KETTLEBELL ROWS (concentrate on pulling with your lat)
KETTLEBELL FRONT SQUATS
KETTLEBELL DEADLIFTS
PUSHUPS AS MANY AS POSSIBLE (girl style if you can't do at least 10)
Complete each exercise going directly into the next. Rest 60 secs after each total circuit. This should have your heart up!
Follow up with 3 plank holds. Hold as long as possible, repeat.
This is a terrific full body workout. Kettlebells are a great and cost effective way to workout at home. Give them a try! Easy to toss in your car on the way to Mom's, the MIL's or grandmas too. Burn off some of that pumpkin pie!

Way to make the best of a less fortunate situation! Your workout looks awesome! At least you found away to fit in something instead of making excuses and feeling worse for it later. That workout should've given you all the energy you needed to get through your very busy day! Have a great Thanksgiving tomorrow!!
Thanks RNoelle! I did feel better after despite needing a new tire and rim! Had a busy but successful work day. Just got back from the grocery store. Time now for the fun stuff....cooking!
Have a wonderful Thanksgiving!
