Caffeine Dreams

My early morning trek to the gym was successful.  No flat tires for me this morning! I did have to replace the tire after the last attempt.  New rim too.  (Opps!)

This week is a crazy one, schedule wise, for the entire family.  The kids have wrestling and soccer, games and tournaments.  My husband has a few days working out of town, and I am installing a model in an Urban Loft tomorrow.  I'm so excited!  We have been working and planning for 6 months.  If you are in our area you should come check it out!  Amazing downtown location and views are killer! So despite loving all the work, squeezing in workouts is forcing me to get creative!  My husband was so kind and left the house late this morning so I could squeeze in a quick 5 AM ish session.  This always takes strategic planning on my part.  Heck, its easier to pack and leave for a 4 am business flight than an early gym session.  If you are tired you can sleep on the plane.  Hard to slam out reps running on low ZZZZ's.

SO THIS IS WHAT I DO......

Premake my early am shake of one scoop of powder and one pack of Starbucks VIA. (Seriously how did I get by without this stuff.  I love it!)

Prepackage my post workout shake and bag of  Hunza Raisins ( The only thing that gets me up in that early is these raisins. YES! They are that good)

Have gym clothes, socks, shoes, ponytail holder and hat ready. Minimal makeup requires a black Nike hat!

Get to sleep by 10 and awaken by 5 so  I can tip toe as to maintain that lovely solitude of the morning.....Ahhhhh.

Sneak into the garage, open door, pull out of direct neighborhood and crank the IPOD!

Now I'm awake for my  5 AM Training!

The solitude is quickly broken when I enter Lifetime and every room is rockin out.  The free weight section was 75% full.  Luckly I saw a lonely little squat rack so this is what I did...

'squat rack hog' workout

Wide Stance Squats
Good Mornings
High Pulls (love! they really work everything!)
Bent Rows

This was a great one.  Definatley was feeling it at the end.  I did 4 sets of about 8ish.

Finished off with some SLDL's - one set on ea. leg to failure. Followed by a HIIT version of the bike ride. I was pretty shot after that and went for the foam rolling!  I really could have  used a stream and a massage but the steam may have to wait until Sunday.  And a massage....That is on my Christmas List.

The rest of the day was so productive.  Lots of running around getting things ready for this model, and lots of wrestling. Who ever said singlets aren't cute was wrong.  My son loves his so much he is sleeping in it "because its so comfy mom!"  Thats his story anyway and he's sticking to it!

So as I type I'm sipping on my lo-cal  hot chocolate yumminess...

Heres what to do....heat water in a giant mug,  add a tablespoon of extra dark cocoa, truvia to taste, vanilla to taste.  Tonight I added Capella Peanut Butter drops.  Good Stuff for about 10 calories! I'd add the coffee but I don't need the caffeine tonight! Almond Milk is always good too.

ENJOY!

Hope your Monday was a GREAT one!

That's a great idea for a hot chocolatey drink!

Tonight I tried a new version. Dark cocoa with NuNaturals Vanilla flavored Stevia. Loved it. I'm going to do a blog post on this stuff soon. More to come on that. Good Stuff!
